Sax player Kez “Thing” Adams
played both alto and tenor… sometimes at the same time. This
young gun from Miami had major league chops honed since he was a
child through his studies at Florida A&M University School of
Music. Adams said, “Big Daddy has it going on. He gives us the
perfect pocket to lay our parts down, and when it’s time to blow
he gives us space.” Adams tasteful licks, monster solos, and
terrific dynamics punctuated each and every performance.
Kez will live on in our hearts
and ears as an angel of music and beyond. May God bless
him, his family and friends. He has given us precious
moments to treasure. Kez will be a member of Big Daddy &
Red Hot Java forever in our hearts. He rests in peaceful
eternity! May 2006. |
