This special program
combines both performance and lecture for an entertaining
introduction into the history and form of America’s great
indigenous heritage - the Blues. The program is for students from
eight to eighty years old. It has been presented to young
children, college students and seniors. You need not be musical
to enjoy this stirring lecture-performance. This
program was developed with Blues legend Sir Charles Atkins,
director of the Florida State University School of Music Blues
Lab, and The Blues Foundation..
Questions are always
welcome. Each program is modified to suit the age and
